- Expansion Fittings with EB duct?
(294 views) - We have an application where we would like to use EB-20 Duct under a building slab. However, UL 651A, Section 1.4 states that "Type EB (encased burial) PVC conduit is intended for encasement in concrete trenches outside of buildings." Does this UL standard prevent the use of Type EB duct under building slabs and if so why?
(294 views) - Do you have a UL Listing for type DB100 conduit? Does any conduit manufacturer typically list this with UL? I realize that this product is typically for utilities and not for city contractors. If not, then what listings do you have and what are the limitations for its use?

(249 views) - When installing a 10-way 6” duct bank (2 wide (Row) 5 high (Column)) we have one client that requires the solvent-cemented joints to be staggered. The spacing between the 6” conduits is 2”. The duct is concrete encased with a maximum aggregate size of 1-1/2”. The two couplings in the same horizontal row may be side by side but the next set of couplings in the row above or below are required to be staggered longitudinally 1 foot.
Is there any advantage to this installation technique? Is so, what advantages?
